When a warning light comes on, the fault code tells you where to look, not which part to replace. We read the control unit, check the circuit and test the component before deciding. That is the difference between replacing a sensor and replacing a whole compressor just in case.

Oil and filter changes, fluid levels, belts, and a general condition check. We follow the manufacturer's intervals and specifications, so servicing done here does not affect the warranty on a car that is still covered.

Pad and disc replacement, bleeding the circuit and checking hoses and fluid. If the pedal feels spongy, the car squeals under braking or the steering wheel shudders, this is the first thing to look at and not something to leave.

The timing kit is replaced on mileage or on age, whichever comes first, and it goes in complete: belt, tensioners and water pump. This is a job where a cheap part turns out expensive, so we tell you which brand we intend to fit and why.

The electrical side is where the most time gets wasted without a method. Battery, alternator, starter motor, lighting, sensors and wiring. This is where an electro-mechanical workshop earns its name, because the car does not have to go somewhere else to have the fault traced.

Refrigerant recharge, leak tracing and climate control repairs. The compressor is not always the culprit: it is often a sensor or a component on the evaporator, and checking that first saves a good deal of money.

Dampers, springs, bushes, ball joints and arms. If the car floats, pulls to one side or knocks over a bump, worn suspension directly affects your braking distance.

We check lights, brakes, play in the joints, emissions, tyres and everything else the ITV station looks at. If something is going to cause trouble, we sort it before they send you back another day.

Injectors, turbo, exhaust line and emissions system. A loss of power, smoke or fuel consumption that suddenly climbs usually starts here, and it almost never fixes itself.
